The Epilepsy Education Association is very honored to have the Scholarship Program
for graduating Seniors who want to attend College.  Justin Mitchell, above, was our recent
receipent of the scholarship.  He is attending college in the Pine Bluff area.  He is such an
inspiration to all of those in school who have epilepsy.  He has a very supportive mom
and dad and it was a pleasure for the Epilepsy Education Association to have a part in
his future.   There is nothing greater than looking into the eyes of someone who has
epilepsy and letting them know that they are worthwhile and we are here to help them.
Isn't that what it is all about?

Epilepsy Education Association of Arkansas

A Resource for people of Arkansas with Epilepsy
 and/or seizure disorders.

About Us

Sharon Wingo  McMinn is the Founder and Director of the Epilepsy Education Association of Arkansas.  The Association was founded in 1999.  Sharon saw the need for this type of organization in Arkansas.  She and her husband, Tim, and the wonderful Board of Directors, have worked tirelessly over the last 10 years to make sure that people with epilepsy and/or seizures have know that they are not alone.

Together with the Board of Directors, The Epilepsy Education Association is available to those with Epilepsy.
The Board of Directors along with the McMinn's, has made resources available to those with Epilepsy through  Workshops, Seminars, Support Groups, Informational Books and videos, and several other resources.

We want you to become a part of the Epilepsy Education Association of Arkansas.  If you know someone with epilepsy, or you have epilepsy yourself, please contact the Epilepsy Education Association with your questions.

There are so many people in Arkansas that are unaware of the dangers as well as the ways that they can help someone who is having a seizure.  Together we are here to answer the needs and concerns.
